I have spend my first long weekend in Japan at Gifu-ken with Takeshi san and his fun loving family and friends. After Clean Up the world in Obu, I follow the Kunos up to Gifu-ken to a holiday house they’ve rent with another family.

See The Route. Kuno san and Kondo san have kindly make time from their busy schedule to take me to ride this morning.
Today I was invited to go to one of many community get-together at one of Obu’s many community centres. The kids and mums put up a number of impressive taiko (Japanese Drums) performances.
On a different topic, here are some of the dishes I had in the reception.
I wish I had taken the one on Beaconsfield Parade with a big VMS sign that said “LOVE YOUR BIKE, LOCK IT”. It could be a great lead on to this post.
It’s quite amazing to see how alcohol breaks down all barriers. The Safety Division is an absolutely fun loving bunch. Even though they don’t know what I am on about half the time and vice versa, I think everyone had a great time.
I made it. Spend 36+ more hours in Hong Kong then expected because of the typhoon in southern Japan. This has allowed me to spend some unexpected time with Mum.
